6 inch superlift on a 76 F150
I put my 6 inch superlift kit in my 76 on saturday and i wasnt too impressed. The radius arm drop brackets needed the elongation of the holes aprox 5/16" on 6 out of the 12 on each side; the rear u bolts were too short by an inch with 4 oem leafs, the oem bumpstop, 3.5 inch lift block and the replacment overload spring; and the front steering requries a 78-79 front drag link! I got everthing done except the drag link as there wasnt one in the city i lived in! So anyways I was wondering if that steering link from the 78 - 79 years were a similar sytle of bend, and if the r outer side has a adjusting sleeve as my 76 dosnt. IS there a cross over steering setup for these? If so does anyone know the company that makes a good one? I am running 35 inch X terrains and a 3 inch body lift. (think i miight have to go to 37s as the 35s look tiny now!) Any input would be apprecated thanks Josh

the 76-77 steering sucks, especially with a lift, its a ly link like the ttb fords have, i dont know why the hell they ever put that on a solid axle truck, the 78-79 steering is a solid tie rod between the knuckles, then a solid drag link from th epitman arm to the tie rod...its a good setup
