Towing a 2002 Sport Trac
Hi Folks, my brother wants to tow his 02 Sport trac behind his motorhome and he is having difficulty finding out how to disengage the rear drive shaft. One dealer tried to install a "kit" (just some sort of simple switch/lite affair) but discovered that it was for a 2003 and would not work on the 02. Someone told him that removing a couple of fuses would do it..but which fuses and why doesn't any of the Ford dealers know this? One dealer told him he could physically remove the rear driveshaft during the tow and replace it when he got to his destination. Do any of you have any opinions or experience with towing a 2002 year Sport trac? And why is the 02 model different from the 01's or 03's?? Thanks for any/all replies. Tucats
