Quite a few of the antique parts houses sell a 'slingshot bracket' which mounts an alternator (usually a chevy one wire) onto the original generator mounting.If you want it to look original you can have your generator rewired to a 12 volt generator. Just today I found an ad in the latest Vintage Truck Magazine for an outfit called Gerer-nator that builds an alternator inside of an original old generator.Of course check with the vendors who support this site,but I think this is a whole new type of thing. www,Gener-Nator.com.
