40 front clip on 47 pickup?

40 front clip on 47 pickup?
Will a 39 or 40 pickup or car front clip fit onto a 47 pickup without heavy modification? I have been told that the 40 and 47 pickup cabs are the same. Is that true? I know where a cheap 47 pickup is and I have 39 Deluxe car front clip but figure they won't match up. Thanks!

40-47 Ford PUs have the same cab that will fit on a 40 PU frame without modification. That would mean that you can take a 47 (1/2 ton PU) Ford cab to a 40 (1/2 ton PU) frame. This just the opposite of what you want to do. Forget the 39, that's different. Forget cars, they're different.
