tranny help
i need to rebuild my 5spd. i have what i believe is a mazda m5od in my 88 f150 4x4 302. the trans has been leaking oil out of the adapter between the transfer case and the transmission but closer to the transmission. it has been overlooked for who knows how long. i bought the truck with 132,000 miles and the trans was whining in 5th gear so i checked the fluid, 3 quarts low. the trans is grinding slightly when shifting from 1st into 2nd and 2nd into 3rd. can anyone out there tell me if its on its last leg or will it last awhile?
also if anyone can tell me where a good place to get a good rebuild kit?
maybe some pictures to go along with it, i have rebuilt a couple of t18s and np435 with good pictures.
anything availible on the web?
