1978 f250 trafser cas poping out

I have a 1978 f250 all time 4wd with a new process chain drive tcase. I recently powder coated the frame then put the truck back together. Now it wont stay hi or low and is popping out of hi or low lock? It grinds when o go to put it in gear too. I rebuilt the case about a year ago and never had trouble with it until i disassambled the truck put the damn thing back together. My first thought is i did something wrong with the linkage but i cant figure it out. Many guys have posted this but i have seen any feedback on whatis the most common porblem. I saw shift fork mentioned. any help is really apprecaited.

I would go back to the linkage and check the adjustment again if it didn't happen before it came out and does it now it has to be something when south during the install
