Door handle is loose on 2000 Ranger
When I bought my 2000 Ranger last year, the door handle on the drivers side has always been very loose. It opens the door fine but now I would like to tighten it like the passenger side door. Do I just take off the inside door panel and tighten it from the inside? What about the window crank. Is that easy to take off? Any input would be great. Thanks

Assuming you are talking about the door handle on the exterior of the door, those are held on with 1/4" rivets. You take a hammer and a punch to the rivet and drive the steel center out; it falls inside the door. The remaining aluminum part of the rivet can easily be drilled out.
Because of the large rivet, you will probably need to rent a rivet puller. You won't find one that size for sale at your auto parts store or Sears. Before installing the rivets, cover the painted area on the door with a bath towel folded over a few times. The rivet puller will jump when the shank breaks.
