Exclamation Somebody Please Help Truck Down

I have a 1991 extended cab ranger 4x4 2.9l with the plastic gas tank it blew a brake line behind the tank i took off the skid plate to find out the fuel tank straps and been completely rotted off.Looked all over the internet and cannot find straps by an aftermarket company. Called the dealer and for these 2 3 inch wide pieces of metal im looking at $250-SO PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHO ELSE MAKES THESE. So im not forced to fabricate my own i will never surrender that kind of cash for this.

go to a junkyard that will let you pull them yourself so you know they are in good shape. If you find some decent enough you can sand em down and paint them with a good corrosive resistant paint to help the longevity of them

I've seen the huge plastic wire ties on them.

plastic wire ties? at 8 pounds a gallon and 15 gallon tank....that makes for 120 pounds of fuel and then add the weight of the tank....that would make me really nervous

Thanks for the reply about the junk yard but it took be nearly four hours and air tools (grinded heads of bolts off to remove skid plate ford better idea to install quick clip nuts to frame that rust and break off with no way to reach other side) on a hoist due to the michigan weather. So i cant imagine laying in layers of mud and snow in 20-30 degree weather at a yard to remove these straps with no air tools.

Look on car-part.com for straps. Look in an area of the country that doesn't use salt that corroded you existing straps as well as made it hard to remove those bolts. Inquire on shipping and any packing costs before giving them the go ahead on the deal.
