Dana 60 rear wheel seals kept leaking

My truck is a 79 f-250 4x4. problem: dana 60 right [ passenger side ] seal kepts leaking. The garage has been very good at replacing the seal. the seal last for about 500 miles. all tha parts looks to be in good shape. all the surfaces look good, thats what the shop says. any ideas out there? have any of you run into this problem?

bent spindle

I will assume it is a full floater.....if the spindle was bent slightly on the axle tube side, wouldnt the seal run off center and eventually wear very fast

yes vent tube is clear. also the shop stated that the dust seal is ripping then gets caught on the seal itself then begins to leak. they say everything is good: axel, spindle where the seal sets. they do not know what the problem is.

I would try putting the seal on the spindle before you drive it into the hub & see how it's fitting. It should fit tight, hard to turn by hand. Also when putting the drum on don't let it hang there without the outer bearing in, that can damage the seal.
