Its been about 4 months now since my screw has been lifted. The 35 inch tires and 6 inch lift is great, especially since nobody around here has a 04 lifted but I have noticed that the skyjacker lift is not very common on the forums and I was wondering why?It is a great lift but seams as if people only look at fabtech or pro comp.Does anyone else have it ?
Great looking truck with the 6" lift. I did a 3" SkyJacker on the XJ Jeep. SkyJacker has very good products. I will use them on the FX4. Does your truck drive/ride any different now and how much does it cost?
My guess is that Fabtech and procomp were the first ones out and they do a but load of advertising. Every where you look you see there pictures in the mags so initally if anyone was looking at more than leveling that is where they turned. You may see more getting installed if people start seeing reports from installers like your self. I appreciat the 6 month update and when the money get saved I will be trying to pick from the ones out there too.
Question? With the 35s did you regear and did you notice that the truck seems more hesitant with them on or did you put in a supertuner and change the shift points? Thanks for the updates.
Thanks stl1,the ride is different due to the mud tires (Swampers) pretty thick tread. The truck mods ran around 4G's,that included rims, tires, lift kit,cat back exaust, and labor.Tx-import I did not change gears I have 3.73 LS and it still pulls away the same as stock I think due to the cat back. The major difference is stoping with the 35's being so heavy it takes alittle longer to stop. One more point, I have the 4.6 v8 so power and performance was not that big of an issue for me.
Hoff, I like your truck and its the same color as mine. I think all the major brands are the same and its just who you talk to. I am about to get exhaust and was wondering if the flowmasters sounded deep. I've had flow's before on my 87 ford f-250 but cut the cats off. I would like to get flow's or magnaflows. thanks
