Driver's side frame rail, stamped on the top, usually somewhere over the front axle. The number will start with a star, and end with a star. The number is hand stamped, and not stamped deeply, you may have to do some scraping to find it.

Thanks, I will look for it this morning. If I can't find, anywhere else I can look. The truck has a new firewall, there is nothing on it.

The VIN's were not located on the firewall. Other easy to check places are the bellhousing of the transmission, right on top of it by the bolts that hold it to engine (works only if it's the original trans) and the glove box door rating plate screwed to the inside of the glovebox door. If it is not loacted on the frame, then something really isn't right, that is the place where it was always stamped.

The frame is painted an it is thick. the truck has a 351c in it an a c6 trans. I guess I'll have to sand the frame down an see if I can find it.
Thanks for all your help.
