Anti-theft lock
How do you tell if your car has the anti-theft lock?
My wifes car is a 2002 Cavalier and I want to install a remote starter in it. The key is a normal key without the chip in it. Is this what they are talking about with the anti-theft lock.
If this is the case, does this mean her car does not have the anti-theft lock in it???

Does it have a "theft" light on the dash and a blinking red light that was factory installed? Our '97 Olds has these and the lights flash/horn honks if you open the doors from the inside after you lock it from the outside.
That's about the extent of the standard "anti theft" offerings.
We don't have a chip in the key.
