what are your opinions of carter afb carburetors?

I have been runing one for two years, on road and a lot of off road in Arizona. I have had no problems. Had a holley before, what a waste of money. No good for off road use, rock crawling or climbing around the mountains.

Good, easy to tune carbs. Edelbrock carbs are the same thing and their parts will interchange.

By the part number on the front right corner of the base. Post it and I can tell you what it is.

That number's not coming up anywhere that I can find. I have seen mention of a 3083s.

I'm not sure, It may be an old factory carb off of something. I'll do some more research on both numbers when I get a chance.
