This may seem overly simple.

Does my 2000 B4000 6cyl 4X4 have a "low fuel" light?

I was on fumes last night and there was no gas light. I though this was kinda odd. Maybe I wasnt as low as I thought I was.

it has a "check gages" light.

Well that didnt come on, so I assume that means I wasnt THAT low on fuel.

Does anyone know at what point the "Check Guages" light would come on?

You should have a 19.5 gallon fuel tank. The "check gages" light will come on with 3 gallons left in the tank if it's working properly.

Gas stations really that far that you'd want to push it just to see if a light comes on?

Then again my brother had a truck with dual tanks and i always wondered how someone could run out of gas with dual tanks..well he did..so anything is possible.

Sorry, Im not in the habit of seeing "how far to the left" it will go. I was just pretty low on fuel, on E, and there wasnt a light. I found that odd, so maybe I wasnt as low as I thought I was.
