I've ripped out the divider and removed the wing glass. I noticed a piece that bridges between the outer shell and inner shell about where the latch was on the wing. I see no alternative other than to cut it out.
I've made a cardboard template for it and will be taking it to the glass shop tomorrow. I'm planning to use the standard hand crank regulator and add a front track/felt groove to stabilize the front edge of the new size glass.
I don't like the way the felt channel fits into the door groove where the wing frame was removed.
Anyways, I'm committed to it now. Any suggestions?
What is used to mount a new front channel to hold the front edge of the glass?
Are there any pictures on the web of where others have done this before?
