I'm restoring a 75 f-100 ranger. I interested in finding out what options and accessories were available for my truck. I'm also looking for the best place to buy a re-wiring kit.
Do a search for Ranger in this forum and you will come up with all the possible options. The details have been covered in detail in the past.
As far as rewiring, some have used aftermarket kits but there are none made for this pickup in peticular. Most have repaired what is there or get a good used one from a salvage yard or this site's classifieds.
Thanks Marty
I was planning on going with an aftermarket. I've so many wires that just don't go anywhere, I was planning o just redoing all of it so I know what's there.
As far a options, interval wipers, cruise control, air conditioner, cloth seats, carpet, am/fm radio, guage package (delux instrumentation), dual batteries. That's all I can think of now. I'm sure there's others.
76supercab2 and dreamsickle,
thanks for the information.
I do have a/c but I don't know if it works; niether the heater. I think my blower is out. I removed the glove box and to the left there is metal cover of somesort with 4 prongs (male end of a plug) I don't remember the configuration but nothing is plugged to it. I also have a loose wire that would connect to 3 plongs and a loose wire that would connect to 1 plong. does anyone know what these are for?
thanks,
i'm not sure when I will get to fixing that. I'm going to rewire my truck first, then tackle the other problems like having heat and a/c. what does that harness look like? do you have a picture?
