Question Towing a Camper with F-150?

My husband has a new F-150 4-door. We are considering getting a camper. Interested in towing information. How does the truck perform with a 5th-wheel, or just a bumper hookup camper? Aren't sure how big we can go.

I think you'll find a fifth will run into clearance problems with the higher bed rails. FYI, you'd be better off posting this in the towing forum, this subject has been covered there quite a bit. welcome to FTE, enjoy!!

Thanks for all the help. We have 5th-wheel travel trailer sales people who say his truck can pull the 28 ft. long 5th wheel without any problem. A truck driver said it would pull the trailer, but would mess up the transmission. My husband only has 3 or 4 thousand miles on his truck so trading it in on a 250 would be costly. I have a 2002 Expedition, and was considering a 2004 Expedition. Maybe I should just get the truck!

If you have the supercrew the bed is too short for a fifth wheel, even with a slider hitch.
