Hi everyone in the Tulsa,Ok area. I'm moving to that area (Broken Arrow) in June and I'm thinking of bringing my 65. Are there any good cruise areas out there and wheres the nearest 1/4 or 1/8 mile dragstrip? Wheres a good source for old truck parts and high performance stuff in that area? thanks a bunch and see you guys soon. Don

I'm not from Tulsa, but I go there for different events from time to time. There is a Mustang event in June, I think it is the weekend of the 12 -15th. They take over Hallet speedway (west of Tulsa) on friday and then saturday they run drags at Tulsa Dragway (on the norteast side of town), then sunday they have a car show. Its Called the Mid -America Shelby meet. They run anything with a Ford engine at the drags and the car show is something to see. There is always a swap meet at all the events. The car show always has some really nice pickups in to also. The Mustang clubs in the area have lots of shows all through the year as do the clubs in Oklahoma City. They have lots of car events in Oklahoma. The worlds largest gun show is held in Tulsa in October and April, if you are so inclined. Tulsa is low in elevation and high in humidity, hotern h--- in the summer, too.

 

I live in OKC but there is a good dragstrip in tulsa. A guy on another forum lives there and he goes to it often.
