Have a 1979 Ariens rear tine tiller with a 8 horse Tecumseh engine. Engine is puking oil from the case breather tube into the air cleaner assembly. This is fouling the air cleaner out to the point where it will not run at all unless it is off. Any reasons for this to be happening? Oil level is fine. Thanks for the help.
1) Blowby
2) Filter material missing from the vent system (if originally equipped)
3) wrong viscosity of oil
4) wrong dipstick/overfilled with oil (possible if you bought it used and don't know the history)
The Engine Has To Breath , There Is A Plate Or Some Type Of Way For The Engine To Releive The Pressure Inside The Crank Case . It Is Pluged Up. Look For It And Unstop It.
