Throttle body swap
I posted this question in the general forum and got no response so I'll give it a shot here. Does anyne know if it's possible to swap the throttle body from my 93 5.0 SDEFI with a larger throttle body from a differnt engine? I know I will have to reburn my chip and I'll be using 24# injectors with a cam upgrade, stroked crank, perf heads, and oversized pistons. Not interested in a MAF swap.

With longer vacuum hoses, would it be possible if you spun it 180 degrees? The linkage wouldn't be backwards, just upside down, and you'd have to use the linkage from the 460, wouldn't you?. Probably a dumb question, but I had to ask.

I'm really not that familiar with the 460 throttle body. From the pictures in the Edelbrock catalog, it looks like the linkage is on the opposite side, but it may not be. It's probably worth a look around in a junkyard to see if you can find one to compare. The IAC would be on the opposite side if you flipped it.

Thanks, I'll have to see if I can find one. Anybody have any idea what the actual millimeter measurements are of the stock 5.0 and 460 throttle bodies, respectively??
