Van head on a truck? Why not?

I apologize if this has been addressed...

I thought I read it here before, but I searched and couldn't find it. I am looking for a cylinder head for a 92 f-150 302. A friend of mine works at a body shop, and their junkyard dude said all he had were heads from 302s torn out of Ford vans, and they wouldn't work. I thought any stock head from and for 302 from that year would be identical...can you advise?

thanks,

Bryan

Okay.....D'oh!

I checked motorcraft.com....bloody brilliant, eh?

According to that site, they list the same model number for cylinder heads for the F-150, F-250, E-150, and Bronco.

The guy I was working with was asking for casting numbers. If I can verify that he is pulling from an 92 E-150 I should be okay...right? Just looking for some reassurance

Bryan

The heads should fit just fine.

Heads from a van will work ok. Did the 92s still use E7TE heads?
