Super Duty Mirrors

I am trying to change my towing mirrors on my F-250. How are they removed. I don't want to wreck anything.

Are you removing the towing mirrors or putting them on? If you are removing them do you want to sell them? To remove the mirrors there are some screws on the inside of the door when opened I assume that if you remove the three screws the mirrors should come off.

I think there are 4 total nuts to remove, they are behind some rubber plugs.
If they are power, you will have to remove your door panel and reach in to un hook the plug.

You need to remove your door panel. Theres two 7mm head screws holding it on. One behind the lower rear lense. and the other behind the window switches. That trim piece that holds the window switches can pop off lifting from the front. Once both of those screws are out, the panel can lift straight up and off, there might be a connecter to disconnect once you have it out. Now you can disconnect the mirror wirring. And theres 4 nuts holding the mirror on, remove some plugs and there ya go.

I changed mine to the larger towing mirrors last year and it took about 1 hour. Very simple. I then sold my old mirrors on EBAY for $155. Just a suggestion.

I'm taking off my towing mirrors from my 99 and trading them for the adjustable towing mirrors. I'm not sure if all 99's are not adjustable, or just some. I'm trading with a 2000. I assume the harness is the same.

My '99s were fixed also, they didn't change the plugs till 2002 I think.
The early ones are round white ones, the later ones flat gray.
