I have 31x10.5's on my 89 with no lift. The front tires rub the sway bar at full steering lock and the rears contact the outer portion of the wheel wells with the sidewall lugs during rough conditions.

Running boards?

Do you have running boards on your bronco? IF so do the tires rub on them. IF not what do they rub on?

No. You need a 3 inch body lift and 31x12.50x15s should fit nice. For 33s, I would just go with a James Duff suspension lift.

If you're putting 33's on I suggest both a 3" suspension lift and 2" body lift but that's if you actually plan to use it off-road. You may want to look into regearing the differentials too. I have 31's with the stock diffs and I have problems with long hills on the highway.

I have an 84 with 33's, I did a 3 inch body lift and cut the fenders, the only time that my tires rub is at full turn over hard bumps. My truck is solely for mudding and it is absolutely find with the 33's after three inch lift, but you'll have to cut the fenders.

33" tires will not fit on broncoII stock

I own a 89 broncoII with a 4" ruff country suspension lift. The biggest tires i could really fit was 31's. 32's might fit but rub under extremem mudding, you need atleast 5 to 6 inch lift for 33's without having to worrying about rubbage. less then 5inchs of lift and you will have to cut the fenders.

my 89 with 2 inch lift in rear only has 31x10.5's.. they only rub when i jump it and dont land on all fours. or when you turn the steering wheel all the way it rubs a little then too. So i would say 31's are the biggest with no lift.
