Need help with 87 B2

Okay here goes,
I just recently had a couple give me a 1987 2wd Bronco 2 with a 2.9 liter engine. It has set for about two years and not been touched. I have been doing all of the work on the bronco and I need to get it off their property quickly without paying a towing bill. Here is what I have done so far:
I recut and reconnected battery cables.
Changed Oil
New plugs and wires.
New fuel filter
air filter is fine
The bronco will start (not very easily) and stay at idle for about 3-4 seconds and die. I can work the throttle to keep it from dieing but it runs like crap. I re-checked the plug connections and made sure the firing order was correct. I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the key to accessory.
What could be wrong?
Before the plug change, I tried to start it and it was doing the same thing as it is now. The plugs were wet and oily. Thanks for your help.

Check the fuel pressure. Pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and look for gas after you cycle the key on and off 6-7 times. Also pull the KOEO codes, see the tech info post, pulling eec-iv codes.

After sitting for that long. You may have water in the fuel tank. Or you might have a fuel line sucking in air from a dry seal. (O ring seal)
Might also check the fuel pump in the tank too. The easiest way to do this is to just cut a whole in rear floor above the pump.
