Trans Flush, Transfer Case Flush, Radiator Flush: New Car Fluid Change

All,

I have read all the posts and will be getting the following done as part of baslining my new 2001 EB (5.4L/4R100 Trans) (40k miles):

- Powerflush tranny (and Torgue Converter) use Mobil1 Sythetic ATF (Mercon compatable) (16.4 gts)
- Power Flush Radiator; replace with 50/50 mix fresh radiator fluid
- adjust the RF brake (maybe new pad?) possibly drain/bleed the brake system (for baselining)

-->About the Transfer Case<---
-----------------------------------------
- I am thinking to also change the transfer case (2 qts Mobile 1 Syth.)
- Ford manual says 60k miles (30k if trailering)
- When i got the truck I had to install the trailer wiring relays from the trailering package (owner never opened, and i assume never trailered)
- I Like the idea of putting in the Mobile there as well to match the trans and baseline the system (I will be towing a lot this summer)
- Is the transfer case a simple drain and fill, or would I need remove a 'pan' etc??...are we talking about a simple thing to do while the car is up? or something more involved?

Other changes next week or soon
------------------------------------------
- I have a brake squeel on the RF brake, I think it is a simple pad adjustment, will have them tell me what is wrong
- will possibly have them drain/bleed the brakes as well (more baselining)
- I will be changing the oil to Mobil1 Syth 0W-20 this weekend and installing a Fram Quick drain valve on the oil pan plug

Looking for comments on the TRANSFER CASE fluid change mentioned above...i am having Firestone do the work as they allow me to wlk in with my own fluids and they have been very straight-forward and reasonably priced.

Thanks for the feedback.

there is no pan on a transfercase.

i haven't done a change on my expy yet, but done plenty of TC fluid changes on my jeep. there is a drain plug and a fill plug on that one......i would assume it is the same

I would change f and r axles also. If you have 40k miles then that squeal means your pads are shot both f/r wear at same pace. I just changed my pads for the second time with Raybestos ceramic "quiet stop" pads. Very low dust , no squeals at all for the 35000 miles they lasted and very smooth feeling during braking. Fwiw, my rotors needed replacement after they spec'd out bad-after 65000 miles. Cost for rorors from Ford were $150-rear, 105-front.
