I would like to know what parts you have still "original" with your 4x4 & at what point is it a totally different vehicle.
I gave it some thought, & with all the mods, plus replacement parts like trannies, engines ect., I have very little original left. Here is my break down;
Frame
Front & rear axle housings
Front drive shaft
Left inner fender
Bed
Wiring harness
Rear window
It is all origanal till the highway patrole inspects it
actullty i think the only proublem ya have is if ya change the cab or frame and do not have matching VIN codes and then ya have the whole emissions problem if ya have a later EFI contrlled truck if ya go to carb'ed
ummmm.....everything?....wait...no, i have an upgraded stereo, wheels, tires, body lift, and bumpers....very little not stock on my truck, all suspension is stock, cab, bed, wireing, engine, tranny, xcase, axles....although i have a mini spool up front...interior is all stock, steering wheel is evern stock...i did put an after market shifter **** in there though......oh ya....smog?..emmissions?? haha, whats the worry with those? you just gotta live in the correct state!! hahahah. oh ya...the clutch is even origional as far as i know.....i have a "modified" 'stock' truck...i love it!
I have a lot of new parts...about 80% of my truck has either been changed, replaced, fixed, or modified in some way. I have so much stuff changed or swapped out that i'm starting to forget off the top of my head. I'd have to go over the truck bumper to bumper to remember lol.
The frame, and front axle housing, steering column, driver side glass, grill, and the little aluminum tag that goes on the door are the only things that are original to my 76 f-150.
