28 or 31 Side Gear Spline???
Gentlemen,
Sorry for all the questions, but the more I learn for you all, the more questions I have.
So, what I thought was a 1984 F150 XLT 4x4, is really a Limited Slip rear and Open front Dana. O.K. it's really a 2WD (damn manufaturers)
So, now I'm looking to purchase a Locker or other carrier for front and rear so I can have """true""" 4x4.
The web-sites that sell these units have two kinds for Ford 8.8's of this time frame. A 28 or 31 Spline.
Is there a way to tell which I have without pulling out the axles???
Where do you all shop for good posi carriers???
Seems no matter what, I'll soon be taking both front and rear's apart and build them up properly.
