I am going to go look at a 1978 F-350 fourwheel drive tomarrow that has dual rear wheels and wanted to know how you make it have single rear wheels and still use the stock dana 70 axle. I plan on putting 38in. Super swampers under it and i dont want to have to buy 6 instead of 4. so please help me ASAP
Was the truck a dually from the factory? If not you may have a single wheel axle under the truck now and if that is the case then you will only need to buy wheels for a single wheel set up of course if the truck is a true dually you have the front hubs to convert as well and I think you just have to remove the adapters for the dually offset wheels.

amen, bob btw the rears usually only have longer studs so a single wheel will work , on the fronts just remove the adaptor . if i remember right it was only so you wouldnt have to cary two different spare tires, bob
