How long does it take you to get going in the morning?
I need at least 45 min to suck down some coffee, get dressed, etc. if I have to be somewhere. Now that I don't have to get to work until later, I get on FTE while drinking coffee. My get moving time is now 2 hours. How about you? I never could figure the people that could get out of bed and be out the door in 15 min.
Back when I was doing framing and such, wake up time was 5:30 am. Took me all of five minutes to get dressed and out the door, had to stop for coffee on the way. Now,,, I Don't start my day before 9 am One of the other "little" reasons for going into business, lol. But on most days when I have only work here in the shop, I take about two hours also. Have my coffee, do a few jigsaw puzzles and crosswords online, come here, check email, all that fun stuff. Couldn't pay me enough to go back to the old life.
Thanks for reminding me johare, it's wonderful not having to rush the three s's anymore

I am a morning person and I wake up all at once. Awake and feet on the floor type person. I can wake-up, do the three S's, get dressed, grab a cup of coffee, and be out the door in less than 30 minutes.
if i have to wake up early for work or just school it usually takes me 20-30 minutes by the time i get outta bed. i wont be all the away "awake" but ill be up and moving. its the same amount of time on my off days but it just depends how long i decide to stay in bed.
I've always loved mornings so it's always been easy for me to get started. I usually have to be up at 0345 and out the door by 0420 so there you go. I AM looking for a change of business though, but having done this for so long I'm wondering if I have the "right stuff". I've started a little business that "we/I" can do on the side and we're hoping it'll take off. It's a niche market and we know it'll take some work and time. If I could just hit the lottery...cousre that would mean I'd have to start buying tickets.
Good days I can be out the door in 15 minutes. Usually I hit snooze for an hour and it still takes me another hour to wake up. The time I get up doesn't really make a difference either . . . if I have somewhere to be I can do it in no time. If I've got a few minutes I'm SLOW, but I think that's just laziness.
I consider myself a morning person. I need about 15 minutes to be out the door, but I prefer 45 minutes....my routine before work takes about that long: coffee and smoke, s-s-s, get dressed, out the door.
30 minutes to get myself out of the house in the morning, and that includes walking the dog before I leave. Now when I have to take my two girls to school in the morning before work, it's about an hour and a 30 minutes.
Lets see... NH-Hottie nailed it.. add kids add at least an hour
alarm goes off somewhere around 4:45 am... Hubby leaps and bounds from bed into the shower
me... I try to pry open my eyes that takes at least 15 minutes then I can speak English
Hubby out the door at 5:45
then its the mad rush to get ready, fumble the baby, try to shower in record breaking time before the baby realizes he is all alone in baby jail (playpen)
Try to do hair, make-up, and get dressed without getting baby sludge on your clothes and if I am lucky I am out the door at 7:15 ....
Hurry up and wait on the freeway
*chuckle*
