Hi;
I have recently got a hold of several complete sets of wheels for my 35' pickup. I am hoping that someone will be willing to give me a short history lesson on the wheels I have. Not much info out there.
I have the straight spokes that are to the best of my knowledge factory Ford. I also have some "bent spokes" that I think are Kelsey-Hayes????. And, I have some wheels that have adjustable spokes, and when I bead blast the back the name Budd is visable. I hear off and on about Kelsey-Hayes wheels being the wheel of choice, but the Budd spoke wheel I have never heard about. Any info on these wheels is much appreciative. Thanks.
Your info is correct on the wheels, straight spoke are the Ford wheels, the bent spoke are the Kelsey-Hayes. I have heard of the adjustable spoke, but I never heard anythigtn about them being an optional wheel. I think the Kelseys were an option. I think Budd is still in operation...maybe they could help out?
