v.i.n. placement on a 34

I am trying to locate a v.i.n. # on my 34 truck, so I can go ahead and get a title for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Stamped on the frame rails in 2 places ,if I remember correctly. only problem is if your body is on the frame. its on the top of the rails .

1) in the engine area.
2) just in front of the rear tires on top of the frame rail.

It should be on the frame right by the steering gear. Another common place in on the tranny bell housing and also on the engine, if the engine hasn't been switched.

Having just gone through this myself...ours had a placard on the firewall, which was too faded to read, however the frame was stamped on the Left(drivers) side frame rail, in the hood opening, approx 6 inches in front of the firewall. Light stamping, thus might have to clean off any rust etc.

1934 Truck frame?

what are the numbers you found on your frame? I have a frame that I've been researching. My numbers are *I8-70I936*. Thank you for your reply.
