I am getting new leaf springs from Alcan to ride better with my slide in camper, and I'm trying to decide on ride height since I will be removing the factory springs and block. I am interested in new coil springs as well to level out the ride quality - 1-2" lift maximum for my 2012 F350/gas truck. I'm having difficulty trying to dial in my heights. For the coils, most manufacturers build them based on the diesel engine? i.e. Icon...and Carli has both a diesel and gas version with different spring rates. Apparently Carli designed their gas coils based on the 6.2L F250.
The F350 sits 1-2” higher than the F250 depending on the specs due to a taller block and has more of a rake when empty. So technically the rear of the F350 has a slight lift from the factory compared to the F250. I will measure the dimensions of my leaf springs and send to Alcan but if I want to level out the F350 so there is no rake (since the new leaf springs will be rated to my fulltime load) what would be best to match the front?
