Good Afternoon All, I am currently doing a smog/EGR delete on my 1990 F150. The EGR tube that's inserted into the intake, what are yall using to cap/plug? I cant seem to find anything to fit over at ACE, O'Reilly's, Home Depot. This is my first OBS build, has original 69k miles on the truck, just trying to get this thing running and nuke proof
The easiest thing to do may be to simply deactivate it by pulling the vacuum line.
If you're looking to make the engine "bullet proof", you might consider keeping the EGR functional, as one of its benefits is prevention of detonation. Some engines are especially sensitive to that. If yours starts detonating after EGR disabling, you may have to compensate by retarding spark advance or buying higher octane gas.
