I've seen a few comments about replacing the fixed hub on the passenger side but can't seem to find them. I want to change it out and thought there may be a "kit" for it, or do we just buy the components? My parts guy at Ford didn't even have a clue what I was talking about. Seems the people on the forums know so much more than the parts guys.
According to other posts on here, you should be able to get that wicked fubar snafu fixed for free but I guess you need to talk to the service manager? Do you have a 2025 & original owner?
“Ford installed them for free to those with pre 2025's who complained, but yes, it was a silly move.“
You should be able to reference the SSM when talking to your dealer's service department. In the event they refuse, try a different dealer. The components required change based on the truck's build date - some still had the full vacuum line present, some had a partial vac line run, and some needed both vac line parts. The thread I linked includes part numbers.
I bought my 2024 used and when they had me come in for the "trailer disconnected" software patch, I complained about the dummy hub. They said "No Problem" and they swapped it out. I had to go back a second time though so they could add the missing vacuum lines.
