Ha! You guys are funny! I just got out doin 20 years. Just kiddin. Ya, obviously, it's a 66 short bed .I bought it from my grand father in 1994. My Dad restored it in the late 80's and I drove it regularly until a couple of years ago but it's been on my mind ever since. I decided to take it to the frame last August after I became retirded. I hope you guys know and understand the value of your vast knowledge of these old slicks. Your a hella resource and asset to a dummy like me.

Nice project, is that the original dash pad, or have you replaced it? Also, as it has been a topic lately, what are your plans regarding your firewall insulation?
Thank for sharing, looking forward to reading more about your project and progress.

Yes, original dash pad. It's rough. Uh ya, I'm gonna need suggestions and tips on the firewall insulation. Hushmat claims to resolve both noise and heat but ... I saw a pre molded kit for it but I don't remember where.
Couple of other members are in the midst of the firewall pad. They are approaching it differently, but I have no doubts the result for both will be great. Not sure which threads, but those members are @TA455HO , and @jalls1 . Maybe they can offer some good advice.
