Digital A/C temperature

I have a 2005 Excursion with the digital AC controls. When I got the truck, the AC only blew hot so I took it to a local AC specialist and they fixed everything and got it working properly.

The digital display only goes down to 60° as the lowest temperature, and the cold air coming out of the vents does stay at 60. But previously I had a 2001 Excursion with the mechanical controls, and that system would get down around 42-45°, and was considerably colder.

What I'm wondering is if anyone else with the digital controls has been able to get colder temperatures out of their vents, and if so, how? I don't want to overcharge the system, those just wondering if anybody else has had the same issue. I'm a big guy and the heat and humidity of Georgia, and 60° just isn't cold enough for me

Different animal, we have a 2007 ia Amanti sedan, almost as old as your truck.
Digital controls.

it will go down to about 60 also, don't think I have ever seen it lower than that.

but the Discharge air is much lower than that, if the cabin was warm and you want it colder.

On mine I have a pen style thermometer stuck into the vents, and the coldest it gets right now is about 60°. Ambient outside temperature is about 20-25 ° warmer. I've read that it properly functioning system should get 20-25° colder than ambient so technically it's working correctly. I'm just hoping for a colder solution if possible

to achieve a lower cabin temperature,
we have to use ReCirculate...

otherwise, that 25* below ambient, will be the hot air from outside being cooled off.
plus, HVAC systems cannot cool down the air, until they have removed the Humidity first.

To clarify, I always use max AC and recirculate
