Brand new F350 Lariat premium package. I plugged in my laptop and was greeted with this message. (see pic) I used the same laptop and software on my 2024 XLT 613A and it worked just fine.
I sure hope Ford hasn't locked out Forscan users .... going to suck if I can't enable Bambi mode.
Try rebooting everything. Maybe load an update if forescan even has any. Tons of my apps give me a fault when connected to an engine, that clears when I close the app.

Anyone know where the physical PCM is located? I'm wondering if there may be a part number printed on it.
I'm taking it into the dealer tomorrow. I'll ask around.
Make sure you have downloaded the latest version available. New model years often require updates to recognize the vehicle. Your version that worked with your 2024 will likely not know what a 2026 is.
I just had a shop use Forscan to program tank info for an upgraded larger sb 60 gallon tank from a factory 26 gallon tank and it works. DTE shows larger quantity and the gauge goes down.
Appears the info is for a 48 gallon tank which I think is the largest option that should appear on Forscan since that is the largest factory available tank.

Correct. 48 is the largest value the truck will calculate on. S&B has a gateway module intercept recalibration device that will correct values to their actual tank size too

That is for the powertrain control module on the 7.3.

Yes. I hadn't used FORScan in several months and I had to update it for my most recent use on a 2023.
