I've been looking for one. I haul lengths of steel and always need to find some way to protect the tailgate lip at the top. DeeZee has a full tailgate protector that used to cover the plastic lip. I bought a bike tailgate protector for now.

When it comes to custom-fit tailgate mats, the tailgate step does change the shape and layout quite a bit. The cutouts and contours are designed specifically around whether the step is there or not, so the two versions aren't interchangeable.
