Updating an Excursion
In addition....I've already got 2005-07 axles (donor truck) , 20" Ford OEM wheels with 275-x65R-20 tires, and I'll be adding air lockers. I will be adding/doing a KC turbo tow package that includes 180-30's, new tunes for my Hydra tuner. Adredaline HPOP oil pump, new oil lines, up graded fuel system, turbo pedestal and up pipes.
Interior sound deadening, new sound system and speakers, and freshen up the interior with new leather (done once before) and carpet. I will not be getting leather from the "Seat Shop", didn't last 1/2 the time as the OEM leather.
Paint and body is currently 7.5 out of ten. paint in excellent condition, some rocker panel rust but 'controlled', so I'll probably wait until the truck is on the road and the bugs worked out before any cosmetics. Would love those automatic running boards. The truck will remain as the mule, doing lots of towing. It's also gonna be a "family" project.
Looking forward to suggestions and ideas.

We picked up a round roof vent from the junkyard and cut into the headliner above the rear middle seat since that's the only seat that didn't have its own.
Had captain's seats & a console up front but installed a front center seat from an F250 to get to 9 seats.
Had a local seat/mods/accessories shop do leather from Katzkin (pretty decent quality so far, after 4 years) and new carpet (turned out terribly lumpy and unprofessional).
Want to eventually do a new headliner just because of the PO's short dog hair embedded in it, but it's not sagging & could be handled tediously with tweezers.
Put in a back-up camera (very handy for hooking up a trailer), front bumper camera (just because the new head unit had 2 camera inputs), Compustar alarm/remote start with Drone GPS tracking (installed by CarToys), new sound system (Kenwood DVD double-DIN receiver with Apple carplay/Android auto, all 6 speakers with new wiring and an amp to power the 4 toward the front (since new head units aren't designed to run 6 speakers), single subwoofer & amp in the cargo area). I ran the Kenwood USB ports to a panel-mount module I found on Amazon for $20 and installed above the dash cupholders. I used a 3-position toggle switch and some 12V relays to manually control power to the front & rear cameras, and wired the rear camera power/activation to the reverse signal wire from the steering column (in parallel to the switch relay).
Just replaced the yellowed & hazy headlights & orange turn signal lenses with clear Eagle Eyes from eBay.
If money is no object, and it seems like you've put some into yours, do whatever floats your boat.
