1994 f150 5.8 performance issues
Looking for help with an ongoing issue on a 1994 f150 with the 5.8. The idle is surging slightly whe at a stand still, it occasionally hard shifts into 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear and when under load the rpms go from 2200 to 2000 to 1500 when shifting. There is also a ticking sound coming from the Fuel pressure regulator even though it’s brand new. It will also occasionally cut off when shifting into reverse. I have fixed all vacuum leaks up top, and tested intake for leaks it was good. I replaced TPS, Fuel pressure regulator, IAC, EVAP solenoid and EGR valve. When I replaced the EGR valve the issues went away for about two weeks but then came back after I pressure washed it. A couple weeks later i took it through an auto car wash and it blew the number 8 fuse. I can’t find open electrical but it seems like these issues are related. Anyone seen anything similar? No codes.
