2008 4.6 2V Upstream Hose Disconnected Test Failure
I have a new to me 2008 F150 Xl 4x4 with the 4.6 V8 2 valve. I am getting a Upstream Hose Disconnect Test failure in Forscan. The value is 0.282. Minimum is -32.768 and maximum is -32.659 according to the Moe 6 Scan. The downstream, stuck open, and egr flow tests are all ok. What is ging on? I replaced the hose that goes to the DPFE sensor. Had vacuum leak there but thats all good now.
Its not throwing a fault code. Yet anyway. I noticed it in the mode 6 scan after i changed the sparkplugs and a test drive. Here is the EGR section from that scan, [EGR Bank 2]
If it's not posting any fault codes, leave it alone. You've gone down a rabbit hole that didn't need to be entered.
Most likely, your PCM needs to be re-flashed to a newer version software that corrects the MIN/MAX limits for MID$32 TID$82. There's a note in the OBDII reference manual (beginning in the '09 edition) regarding this.
