seat belt buckle / strap

I need to replace the driver side buckle and strap with the wire harness on my '96 CCLB dually. The spring pushing the locking latch seems to have fatigued. Does anyone out there have a source for a replacement belt&buckle or does some one have one from a parts truck that they no longer need. If I can be choosy, grey is preferred but any working belt will do. I'm planning a big road trip this summer and would like to be buckled in. Any thoughts appreciated.

It too had to find my driver’s side in red.
Had to go to junk yards every week to check out new arrivals. Every visit I went equipped with torque bit and hammer drill, penetrating oil and socket wrench long enough to break the rusted floor bolt free.

Saw some on FaceBook marketplace. Got lucky with one seller who had a driver’s side in red within two hour drive. Paid $25 after inspection.

EBay did have some but none in my color.
Good luck.

They rarely fail, most of the time it's because there's trash inside, or spilled drinks making the mechanism stick, pull out clean and lube and see if that helps

I agree that they rarely fail.
The plastic around my buckle had split apart leaving sharp edges. Option to cut back the plastic left the buckle hard to find so I replaced mine.

I sprayed brake clean in the buckle and it has gotten marginally better. I will give the buckle another shot and hopefully it gets even better,.

I would add some pb blaster or something similar. A little lubrication helps a good bit.

Sprayed brakekleen on the buckle twice with little noticeable change. I will give it shot of lube and see if that helps. Everything I've seen on ebay is usually for a full set of front belts - don't really want to
buy the set - some of the buckles look to be in worse condition that mine. Discouraging to see such poor condition in what is offered. My OCD kicks in when I see such c--p.

I have a 97 CC with red interior that I'll part, sent some of the interior to Canada a few years ago. I'll check the belts when I'm back out there in a few days.
