Changed passenger valve cover gasket, now no start
Well..here i am again..seems like every time i fix something, something else magically breaks.
The latest thing I changed was the passenger side valve cover gasket. I bought a dorman, followed the instructions and installed new pig tail connectors. Cut one wire at a time and all the colors line up, nothing criss crossed or shorted. After I hook everything back up the truck cranks but no start, no white smoke. WTS light is illuminated, rpm signal works, no fuses blown, unplugged the passenger side valve cover gasket, made sure no grounds got disconnected, checked absolutely everything i could have messed with and everything is as it was before the gasket change but the truck is not starting. My last conclusion is somehow the IDM blew up..does this even make sense? i dont want to start changing expensive parts before making sure nothing got overlooked.
truck was running 24 hours prior. didnt disconnect the battery when i changed the gasket. Only thing that did happen was my socket briefly touched the glow plug controller once and it arced a little.
