Differential gearing with a ZF5 transmission and 35” tires
Swapping in a ZF5 in my 79 F150 4 wheel drive 351W and NP435 now.
It has the stock 3:55 gears in it but I have a set of 4:11 gears I can swap out. I use the truck mostly for towing my side by side but drive it to work on occasion.
Would like a better highway speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. And yes it has a small block 351W. It seams I always get called out on that
I have a 95 F250 with stock-ish size tires. It came from the factory with 3.55 gears, a couple years ago, I swapped in 4.10's. I don't like the higher engine RPM's but the truck seems to be better towing my 10k lb 5th wheel.
Yeah, I too have a 351w, but it's helped with a Kenne-Bell blower.
