2008 v6
I had a dead battery yesterday morning so installed a new one last night.
This morning I got about 8 miles on my way to work and lost power steering.
Has anyone ever seen a correlation between the two?
I don't think it's likely, but wanted to check.
Regards,
Tom

Reason: Added year
The battery reset in the BCM is only for the battery monitoring system BM$. This only affects how the battery will be charged. It should not affect the power steering.
Well, the problem has gone away.
The battery I put in was a pretty new one we'd bought for our wrecked Escape, an Odyssey ODPAGM24F.
When I installed it power was only disconnected for a few minutes, long enough to put it in and install a couple of adapters because it's taller and the cables wouldn't reach.
Saturday I took it back out and extended the cables which took me a good while because I'd misplaced the new terminals.
Anyway, after I got it all hooked up the steering was fine. I've driven it about 45 miles and no issues. Go figure.
Not saying it was related, who knows?
