Brakes, Diffs, n Turbos
Put a 2003 e250 373 gears ...i asked for a superduty n got this. After my transmission guy installed the differential the brakes seem to superheat after driving for a half an hour. I pull over for 10 or 15 minutes and then resume driving and have no problems the rest of the day this is only the rear brakes..... I have replaced a new master cylinder new DOT for Molly brake fluid and bled everything out as well as knee pads and greased pins. I know a 1999 is the first year the Vans had disc brakes and thinking maybe I have to go with that master cylinder but I would think that's not the cause. Since the pressure is already regulated by the rabs unit. I don't want to rebuild the old 2003 because I don't even think you can find motorcraft rebuild kits anymore..... I'm thinking power stops for a caliper replacement..... As well as my sidewinder Turbo is in need of a rebuild and I'm wondering if there's a small turbo that would Mount to that pedestal maybe even a newer Banks sidewinder that would give me a wastegate and allow me a little bit better turbo action..... For gas mileage because of the weight added.... I have a swing Tire rear bumper and a large box in the back and plan on putting a 19 gallon water tank and an RV instant hot shower........ Not sure if I will make the weight rating and can finish and do that with my axles. Concerned about my Turbo because of the high mileage and I believe it was original with the owner of this vehicle I have old paperwork on it and concerned it's time. Anyway if you got any Great Southern California techs I'm near Los Angeles in the Malibu area and I just got a guy I might use out and in Simi Valley but want a GOOD IDI Shop if Anyone Knows ...... I've done most of my maintenance fuel filters glow plugs injector seals glow plug relays oil changes but some things I'd like to leave to the pros.... All experience welcome thanks
