Valve to replace oil drain plug

When I had my diesel pusher I had a valve that replaced the oil drain plug which made it easy to do the oil changes, I could just drain the oil into gallon jugs.
I'm curious if they make one for the 6.7 and if it's a good idea to install one.
now that we no longer have the house it might make it so I can change my own oil at the state parks we volunteer at.
Thanks.

I know I've seen a couple of companies that do something like this. I think the first one is Fumoto if memory serves.

I've used these with huge success since first discovering them years ago (15+, INHO they're the best, never failed to work perfectly. Best part they simply use the normal thread, can be removed with the factory plugs re-installed if the original vehicle is sold---spill free oil changes!! Spill-Free oil changes.

These I link are extremely low-profile unlike the Fumoto variations, that caught my eye immediately at first.

I modified the transmission pan to fit one in there too for my Mark K full fluid exchanges too. Along with the mating fittings and hose assembles you can spill-free fluid changes without fail. Not cheap but mostly a one-time purchase----I have several in place over 10 years and one set on it's second vehicle.

Thank you for the replies. Yes Fumoto was what I had on the diesel pusher, needed a little memory jog. Lol
I'll look into those and the ones JWA suggested.

I have had one of these (Fumoto) on my 2000 7.3 since 2006. Have not had any problem with ground clearance etc. which some had concern about. Works well as far as draining and stopping to dump some of the 14 quarts out and then continuing on in the oil change process. Not too concerned about hitting anything...2wd so try to run over much, can still crawl under truck and step bars to change oil myself, has clearance enough!

I have had a Fumoto drain valve on all my vehicles for the last 25 years, never a problem. my 2023 7.3 has one with a hose attachment that drains right into a bucket.

Got it installed the other day. Now I can do the oil myself.
