2008 2.3l Mystery coolant hose
So, I determined that a coolant hose that attaches at an angle to the bottom of the outlet, and sneaks UNDER the EGR to the front of the engine has a pinhole. No clue what it does or where it goes. I shortened the hose so that the pinhole is now under the clamp, put the self sealing silicone tape over it, and clamped it. So far its not leaking. BUT I need to find out what is that hose and where can I buy it. I REALLY need to know where does that hose go. I looked on line and only found this is one of two hoses called "Coolant outlet hose." No other descriptions or where to those hoses go. I sure hope I can replace it without taking the intake manifold out. my 2 leading suspects are the thermostat housing or water pump.
