Only code shown. Would a "very small leak" cause the engine to miss, run rough? Within 6 months have replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. Thank you for any help.
I'm being shown two purge valves for an '06 Escape
Duralast Vapor Canister Purge Valve PV538 and
Duralast Vapor Canister Purge Valve PV906
What is the difference? One for a 4 cylinder and one for a V6?

I've noticed that people say they get an "idiot light" on the dash for a PO456 code. I did not get a dash light, my 2006 Escape 3.0 V6 just started missing, cutting in and out, suddenly running like crap. It wasn't until I plugged in my scanner did I get the PO456 error code.
Sounds like the purge valve is usually the culprit.

No.
The underlying cause of the P0456 DTC, usually an issue with the flapper valve in the fuel inlet failing to seal, will not cause the engine drive-ability symptoms.
