Electric issues with 05 f350
Over the past year, I've had my battery die so many times it's not funny. For some reason, the truck thinks the keys are still in the ignition, thus leaving the cargo lights and cabin lights on. I have scince removed the main cabin light bulbs and cargo light bulbs, so no more dead battery, and I was able to fiddle with the ignition a bit to stop it from alarming when the door was opened. I would like to get this whole system fixed. I'm thinking it needs a new ignition, if so, where can I get one with an immobilizer system?

Do you think it's a mechanical problem with the tumbler and the mechanism to the switch, or a electrical problem with the switch itself? I guess you can try on and then work on the other.
Autozone has the electrical part. Duralast LS1436 for $41.49 or a Motorcraft SW-6158 for $85.99

Im not sure, the ignition feels a little loose so it might be mechanical. Either way I'm gonna replace the whole switch. Is the autozone one good quality or should I go with the ford motorcraft one?

I have no idea. For all I know the Duralast and the Motorcraft may be made in the sane factory in China. That is usually the way it goes.
